The plate hanging from pulleys in the 750 gal Ferric Chloride tank, starting the long and arduous etching process, which lasts approximately a week and involves hoisting it in and out of the acid bath throughout the day to check the progress of the etch.

A renowned sculptor, Richard Serra’s works on paper are an integral part of his artistic endeavors.
