A renowned sculptor, Richard Serra’s works on paper are an integral part of his artistic endeavors. Typically, he makes drawings or prints after the completion of his sculptures as a way of re-visiting and re-examining the three-dimensional forms. His newest editions, Rift I and Double Rift I, are large-scale diptych and triptych etchings. These monumental images further the artist’s investigations of scale, spatial relations and perception.
